Almonds

Almonds are the edible seeds of Prunus dulcis, more commonly called the almond tree. They are native to the Middle East, but the US is now the world's largest producer. The almonds you can buy in stores usually have the shell removed, revealing the edible nut inside. They are sold either raw or roasted.

Cashew Nuts 

Cashew nut is made up of a fruit in which the kernel is embedded. The real fruit of the cashew is commonly a nut. It is a kidney- or heart-shaped achene, in any normal variety. Its color varies from bottle green to grayish brown (dried fruit) The nut is composed of kernel and pericarp or shell.

Walnuts

The walnut is a rounded or ovoid fruit, according to the variety, with a hard and wrinkled shell or mesocarp of reddish-brown colour, that is formed by two valves, divided in two or four sections that contain the kernels or endocarps, of irregular shape, light yellowish colour and covered with a thin brown skin.

Raisins

Raisins are simply dried grapes. These shriveled, bite sized morsels of sweetness offer a healthy snack and burst of energy. It is the top dried fruit eaten in the U.S, and they're popular globally as well.

Apricot 

The apricot is a fruit that resembles the peach but much smaller, pale yellow or orange with some red shades. The pulp is not very juicy, it has fibre texture and farinaceous consistency when the apricot is mature. The apricot is very similar to the peach although it is smaller and paler.

Hazelnut 

The hazelnut is the fruit of the hazel, small, round, cinnamon coloured shell and white-yellowish flesh, sweet flavoured and rich in oil. The hazel's fruit is small, usually 2cm of diameter, oblong or ovoid and sometimes round, with a tip in the end (apex), with a ligneous and thin pericarp, cinnamon coloured.

Pistachio
